Here's part 2 of the interview I filmed with French bassist Hadrien Feraud in Los Angeles on Feb 13th 2011. It features some solo improvisation by Hadrien and an impromptu jam with the two of us playing together. As well, of course, some interview footage giving some insight into Hadrien's background and musical process.
great to get this kind of insights, thanks for the interviews! stephan
I could watch you 2 guys blow forever. Like watching Federer and Nadal play tennis for fun. 2 guys having a great time- thanks for putting these videos up.
2 amazing players battling it out (in a good way). love the vid and the interview series but Janek, do you have to sing EVERY time you solo? It just comes off a little pretentious i dont know, especially with a cat like Hadrien sitting right there, its just a little off putting. great playing tho
Great video interview, especially great to hear that ‘real’ music is his heart. By that I mean music that joe public can understand and be touched by.
I love jazz and love to play it, but I don’t and wouldn’t want to listen to it all the time.
Sweet jam at the end! Hopefully catch you at the London Bass show Janek!
Great new podcast!
ps The singing is by no means pretentious!
two of the sickest players around right now. so many great ideas. when i first heard hadrien i thought he was just a dissonance happy kid, but after listening to some of his album and the improv stuff he’s doing here i think he’s one of the most terrifying guys in the scene right now (in a very good way). both you guys rip!!!
Nice jams homies! you really had a lot of fun! Greetings from VENEZUELA!!!!!!!!!!!!!
